- What is CuBid?
A public board of short messages to people who will probably never read them. Anyone can post one for free. Paying moves a message higher up the page, and the message at the top is the one everybody sees first.
It is not a review site, a dating site, or a way to contact anyone. It is a leaderboard made of things people wanted to say out loud.
- What does it cost?
Posting is free and always will be. You only pay if you want a message to move up.
Taking #1 costs one dollar more than whatever the current leader holds. If the top message is at $40, taking the top spot costs $41 in total — and if your message already holds $25 of that, you pay the $16 difference, not the whole $41.
- How do I get to #1?
Bid a total that is at least one dollar above the current leader. Rank is decided by the total a message holds, not by any single payment, so every dollar you have ever put on a message keeps counting.
You are only ever charged the difference between what your message holds now and the new total you are taking it to.
- What if someone outbids me while I am paying?
Your money still counts. The amount you paid goes onto your message's total and the message still climbs — you simply land below whoever went past you rather than at the top.
The board tells you exactly where you ended up when you come back from checkout. It will say you were outbid while you paid, and name your real rank. It will never tell you that you are #1 when you are not.
- Two messages hold the same amount. Which one is higher?
The one that got there first. Equal totals stay in the order they were reached, so a later bid has to exceed a total rather than match it. This is why taking #1 outright always costs at least one dollar more than the leader.
- Is there a maximum?
One payment can move a message by at most $10,000. There is one exception: taking #1 is always payable. If the record is further ahead than $10,000, you can still pay whatever it takes to pass it — a cap that put the top spot out of reach would be a worse rule than no cap at all.
- Are payments refundable?
No. Every payment is final. Being outbid, a board closing at midnight, changing your mind, or a message being taken down for breaking the rules does not create a refund.
What you are buying is delivered immediately — the message moves the moment the payment settles. If a charge is genuinely wrong, or you did not make it, write to us and we will help you sort it out.
- What is the difference between Today and All-time?
Today is a single UTC day. It opens at midnight, closes at midnight, and starts again empty.
All-time never resets, and it lists only messages that someone has actually paid for. A free message lives on Today's board; it joins the all-time record the first time money lands on it.
- Do I need an account?
Only an email address, and only so that your messages stay yours. There is no password and no profile — you get a sign-in link by email.
Your email is never shown on the board and never used for marketing.
- Is my message anonymous?
To everyone reading the board, yes. Nothing you post carries your name unless you write it yourself.
The message itself is completely public, though. It has its own page, it can be shared, and search engines can reach it. Do not write anything here you would mind a stranger — or the person named in it — reading.
- Can I take my message down?
Yes. Write to us from the email address on the account and we will remove it. The content is erased for good seven days later.
Taking a message down does not undo a payment that has already been made on it.
- What is not allowed?
Slurs and targeted abuse, harassment and threats, sexual content about anyone who has not consented, another person's private details, impersonation, spam and advertising. Messages are screened when they are posted, and we remove what gets through.
Report anything that should not be here using the link on the message itself. That reaches us fastest.
- Is my card safe?
We never see it. Payments run through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and appears as the seller on your statement. Card details are entered on their systems and never reach CuBid.
Amounts are charged in US dollars. Any sales tax or VAT due where you live is already included in the price you are shown — the number on the board is the number you pay.
- Who runs CuBid, and how do I get in touch?
CuBid is operated by Rohan Vora, an individual based in India, who also handles complaints as Grievance Officer.
